2013 saw the release of his much-anticipated album – Soldier Ascension – out of which several songs were played and remixed by several artists, and support came from DJs such as Tony Humphries, Boddhi Satva, Mr. V and Rancido, among others. Early 2015 saw DJEFF performance at the infamous Boiler Room and the national radio in Portugal, Mega Hits, picking his bimonthly sets for a radioshow. 2017 is the year of “Gratitude”, DJEFF third artist album released worldwide through his Kazukuta imprint. The long play features 13 tracks, some unreleased such as “Devotion”, “Future” or “Gratitude”, and others previously released as successful singles, such as “Love Vibration”, “So Blessed” and “Reborn”. 2018 starts with dream performances in both Berlin’s Watergate and Paris’s Rex Club, as well as in Benetton’s Fabrica in Treviso, Italy, for a very special event devoted to subversion and creativity. “Labyrinth” is released in April and rises all the way to #1 on Traxsource, a success that led to an exclusive mix for the online music store as well as an Instagram takeover for a full weekend. August welcomed DJEFF’s première in Spinnin Deep’s catalogue with his “Zugu Zugu”, a collaboration with Zakes Bantwini, that rocked the electronic world and beyond. Pete Tong played it at BBC Radio One, FIFA chose it to soundtrack Pogba’s entrance at the Champions League and superstars like Major Lazer or Black Coffee supported and played it. November 12th brings “WELA”, a beautiful song about connection and universal love, written and sang by Soulstar over a DJEFF’s signature song. Coming out through Spinnin Deep with a bang.
